Former Congressional Candidate Teddy Turner Issues Statement on Upcoming Special Election
Charleston, South Carolina – April 10, 2013 – Former First District Republican Congressional candidate Teddy Turner issued the following statement regarding the upcoming Special General Election on May 7th.
“First Congressional District voters will soon return to the polls to elect their next congressman. As someone who traveled the district as a candidate, I heard from voters up and down the coast who told me the issues that were important to them and their families. I’ve since had a chance to look closely at Elizabeth ‘Lulu’ Colbert Busch’s record and to be honest with you, I don’t see any reason why someone would want to vote for her. She’s never run a small business, never met payroll and believes government is the solution to growing our economy. A vote for Lulu will be a vote for Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama. For those Republicans who are thinking about not voting in the Special Election, I urge you to reconsider. If you are a Republican and don’t vote for Mark, you’ll only be helping Lulu and her liberal, Democratic friends in Washington and across the country. On Tuesday, May 7th, I’ll be voting for Mark Sanford and respectfully ask you to do the same.”
